HO WEST DCE AND OFFICIALS ENGAGE DEDEDO COMMUNITY

The District Chief Executive of Ho West, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau together with some officials has engaged Dededo community on Sanitation and other Development matters for the community.

In his address, the DCE stated that the engagement was to discuss and find lasting solutions to the incident of persistent defecation on the school compound. He added that the Environmental Health Officers from the Assembly will continue to educate the citizenry on sanitation and also intensify the prosecution of offenders. He also promised to join the community to organize clean-up exercises in the entire community and market.

Hon. Apau entreated those people in the act of defecating in the school to put a stop to it, if not when they are caught they will face the full rigours of the law.

The DCE took the opportunity to inspect the ongoing 20-seater WC at Dededo Market and 2 unit completed market shed both being executed by Coastal Development Authority. He also educated them on the state of the ongoing Spanish Debt Swap water project.

The community also agreed to be more vigilant and repair broken shutters of the school building.

Among the dignitaries present were DSP Maya, District Police Commander; District Director of Education, Environmental Health Officers, Chief and Elders of Dededo, the Assembly Member, Unit Committee members, Religious Leaders, Teachers, and the entire community.
